Smoke DZA - Marley & Me (Remix) (feat. Devin The Dude, Curren$y, Asher Roth & June Summers)

I was literally raised off of Devin even though Spitta's that dude right now, so of course there's nothing quite like a dope smoking anthem. I dig the video too!!!

Kim's Keepsake Design

The robots here at The Fly Lab have been keeping busy knocking out this layout/design. Kim's Keepsake is one of the few places on the web where you can go for inspiration and motivition and I was excited, to say the least when I was given a chance to work on the sites redesign.

Swizz Beats Stops By The Gallery @ DD172 (Creative Control TV)

GALLERY @ DD172: SWIZZ BEATZ from Creative Control on Vimeo.

I really need to take a trip to NY to visit Dame's DD172, it seems like there is really a renaissance about to spark and that building seems to be ground zero. Anyway the video is dope, it's always really cool to see the more artistic/intellectual side of these guys!!!

Curren$y Performing at St.-James Church

LAMC Presents: Curren$y from Creative Control on Vimeo.

My favorite rapper Spitta continues his '09 grind in the new year, popping up just about everywhere:

The recreation of rebellion comes with the resistance of rules and intended purpose, the world is your oyster when rules are abandoned. The people at Less Artists More Condos go by this credo. Any location with the the capacity to hold people and plug in a sound system automatically becomes a venue for the arts. Their latest show, held in St. James Church in the Lower East Side, featured a lineup of indie rock acts the likes of The Beets, The Tony Castles, Beach Fossils, and Total Slacker. In the impromptu fashion of a LAMC show, The Tony Castles invited Curren$y to come up and rock with the band. The juxtaposition of throngs of partygoers in the usually stolid aisles of a catholic church is enough to steam pleats out of the pope’s robe andCreative Control was there to recount the sacrilege in all of its glory.

Gorillaz return with Plastic Beach

I've always liked the Gorillaz (at first it was for their cool videos, I didnt get into their music until some time later) so its really exciting to hear that their new album is dropping on March 9th.

The band have taken up residence, recording on a secret floating island deep in the South Pacific, a Plastic Beach HQ, made up of the detritus, debris and washed up remnants of humanity. This Plastic Beach is the furthest point from any landmass on Earth; the most deserted spot on the planet.

Old VHS turns into hard drives

I've been meaning to get an external hard drive for a few weeks now, at the rate that i'm producing projects and downloading music its only a matter of time before my Mac taps out. These External Hard Drive VHS, by etsy user CentennialMerchant are the answer for me, These old VHS tapes contains a Samsung 2.5” hard drive and is also available in 32OGB($105), 500GB($125) and 640GB($155). If you have a favorite movie, they’ll make one custom for you if they can find the VHS version, including old tapes you might have laying around.

Scorch Bucks Album Cover

The homie Scorch Bucks hit me to do some design work on his upcoming album "Big Money Talks Ent. Presents: Scorch Bucks Part One". Scorch was open to stepping outside the box with this cover and I came up with this design, infusing alot of different street/hip hop elements into this piece, while keeping its presentation fresh/innovative, and the end result was DOPE!!!
